Takeoff played the drums as a child, and that led to him developing a love for music. He also began rapping at a young age, and he was determined to make it in the music industry. In 2008, he, Quavo, and Offset formed The Migos, originally called “The Polo Club”. The trio soon began making music together, and they quickly achieved success.

Takeoff’s career began to take off in 2013 when he and his group released their first mixtape. This mixtape, titled “Yung Rich Niggas/Nation”, was a huge success.
