Zoom Hearing Interrupted

YoungBoy Never Broke Again fans were able to disrupt his Zoom hearing on July 22, 2024 and appeared in the WebEx livestream, according to Law & Crime Network. [1]  The handful of YoungBoy supporters bad-mouthed the judge overseeing the Cache County case and demanded YoungBoy’s freedom.

“Free YB, man, free YB,” a fan exclaimed. Another criticized Judge Spencer Walsh, saying, “Shut yo bitch ass up, man. Free YB.”

Judge’s Response

Utah Judge Spencer Walsh asked viewers to mute their microphones, replying, “‘Mr. Gaulden’s case has already been called, he’s done with court today for those of you interested,’” Walsh stated. “Everyone keep yourself muted.”

House Arrest and Charges

YoungBoy was on house arrest in Utah for two years while awaiting trial in separate federal gun case. [2]  In April of 2024, he was arrested at his Huntsville estate for allegedly assembling a counterfeit prescription drug ring in Utah. [3]

The rapper is facing 63 felonies and misdemeanors related to the case for the following: identity fraud, obtaining a prescription under false pretenses, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, forgery and possession of a controlled substance. [4]

15 pharmacies are reportedly involved and three other individuals implicated allegedly traveled to various pharmacies to fill prescriptions made by fraudulent doctors.[5]

The 24-year-old artist faced additional charges later in April related to the same prescription case. He now faces a second-degree felony count for possession of a dangerous weapon and two additional misdemeanor counts of distributing a controlled substance. [6]
